My.com keeps recreating the shortcut...

I have a blank desktop. By design. No Icons.

Every time I run Allods, a shortcut for my.com is made and placed on my desktop. Is there a setting to prevent this?

delete the weird my.com launcher and start the game by the normal launcher

\Allods Online\bin\Launcher.exe


my.com launcher also tends to f*** up the layout of icons on desktop, this made some ppl i know very angry
there is a countermeasure (http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/desktopok.html) but overall its not OK that a program even does that

and it hogs the internetconnection with peer to peer-*** which has to be turned off (or even better blocked by firewall)

(reproduce? do a fresh installation of my com launcher, the 1st time you start the installer desktop gets messed)

i saw some complaints on steamforum about the my.com launcher too
